The genome sequence of the AIDS-resistant Sooty Mangabey monkey was published in the Jan 4 issue of Nature today! Our sequence revealed a mutation in the TLR4 gene prevalent in multiple species of AIDS-resistant primates that has been shown to lower inflammation during infection. Read more here
